Bridal Beauty Timeline: When to Book Your Makeup, Hair and Lashes

Bridal Beauty

Most brides start thinking about their wedding-day beauty around six months out. Some are organised at twelve months. Some find us with three weeks to go. We can usually make any timeline work, but if we could rewind time and tell every bride one thing, it would be: book the trial earlier than you think you need to.

Here is the realistic Hadia Beauty bridal timeline, with the booking lead times and the prep windows for every service.

12 months out: lock in the date

Wedding-day bookings open 12 months in advance at Hadia Beauty. We do not double-book Saturdays. Book early to lock in the date.

What to do: send us your wedding date, venue, time of ceremony and approximate bridal party size. We will check availability and send a quote.

6 to 12 months out: skin prep starts

If you are dealing with acne, hyperpigmentation or texture issues, this is the time to begin treatment. Skin takes weeks to respond. Microdermabrasion, deep cleansing facials and Hydra Oxy Facial with LED can be planned monthly.

Hair colour goals also start now. Going significantly lighter or darker takes multiple sessions and time between each.

3 to 6 months out: lash and brow planning

Microblading takes 6 to 8 weeks between the initial appointment and the touch-up. Plan accordingly.

Lash extensions can start 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding. Most brides do classic or hybrid sets and refill weekly in the lead-up.

Brow lamination can be done 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding for best results.

3 to 6 weeks out: the trial

The bridal trial is the most important appointment. Book it 3 to 6 weeks before the wedding.

Trial includes full makeup application, photo review under different lighting, two to three lip and brow options and written notes for the wedding day. The trial fee is $100, redeemable against the wedding-day booking.

2 weeks out: nails, waxing, final lash refill

SNS or gel manicure 1 week before the wedding. Pedicure also.

Brazilian wax or last laser session 1 to 2 weeks out. The skin needs time to settle.

Final lash refill 5 to 7 days before the wedding.

The week of: confirm everything

Confirm timing with us 5 to 7 days before. We will message you the morning-of plan: who arrives at what time, where the bridal party is being done, what to bring.

Get a full night of sleep two nights before the wedding (the night before is often poor sleep due to nerves – the second-last night is the one to bank).

Drink water. Avoid salty food. Avoid major skincare experiments.

The morning of

Arrive (or have the artist arrive) on schedule. Bride is finished first, so the photographer can start with you.

Bring your touch-up kit. We provide a complimentary one (lipstick + powder) at the trial that you take to the venue.
